Peterbilt Perfection: Chrome Fender Craftsmanship from Berube’s Truck Accessories

At Berube’s Truck Accessories in Bow, NH, we’ve spent the better part of two decades installing, fabricating, and customizing heavy-duty truck components, and if there’s one upgrade that always draws a crowd at shows and truck stops, it’s chrome fenders on a Peterbilt. These aren’t just accessories—they’re statements. When Liquore Sand & Gravel from Enfield, CT. rolled in with their stunning Pete, the goal was clear: maximum visual impact without sacrificing durability. That meant doing it right, from the mount brackets to the final polish.

Every fender job starts with fitment and planning. We don’t just bolt on parts—we measure, align, and mock-up every bracket, bolt, and fender to ensure the lines match the truck’s natural contours. On a Peterbilt, especially one as pristine as Liquore's, symmetry and flow are critical. The dual rear axle configuration meant we needed full tandem fenders, mounted with custom stainless-steel brackets fabricated in-house to handle the weight and stress from road vibration and debris impact.

It’s not just about looks—it’s about making sure these parts last through Northeast winters, salt, sand, and everything in between.
Once mounting points are finalized, we start on the finish work. We hand-polish the fenders before installation, not after, to ensure every square inch is sealed and flawless. We also use anti-vibration rubber spacers and sealants at all mounting points to prevent galvanic corrosion and premature wear from metal-on-metal contact.

With Liquore's truck, we took extra care to use polished stainless hardware—no shortcuts. The bolts are just as visible as the fenders themselves when you look, they shine too. It's that attention to detail that separates a Berube’s install from a parking-lot bolt-on.
After the install, we go over every edge with a microfiber cloth and a jeweler’s eye. We want the seams clean, the bolt heads lined up, and the chrome surface as smooth as glass. It's these final touches that bring everything together. Customers like Liquore know when their trucks leave our shop, they’re going to turn heads not just because of what’s bolted on—but how it was installed, with craftsmanship and pride.

Chrome fenders aren’t just about flash—they’re about finishing the story a truck tells. When that Peterbilt pulled out of our bay, polished to a mirror shine with its new fenders gleaming in the New Hampshire sun, we knew we’d done it justice. At Berube’s, we treat every truck like it’s going into a magazine, because more often than not, it is.
